Happy August, everyone! And most especially, a happy anniversary to Greg and Tess (12 years!) and a happy birthday to Jasper "Huggy the Bunny" (3 years!) this past weekend.
While Thomas was down in the Bay Area this weekend for the last of his Burning Man meetings before the big event this month, the kids and I were hanging out with our good pals Connie and Russ, who are in town on a rare break from Connie's 2nd-year medical residency in Santa Rosa. We are so glad to have them around! On Saturday, the house was filled with friends, and we busted out the croquet set. Here is Elliot learning the finer points of croquet.
What Elliot enjoyed most, however, was making up an Easter egg hunt type game with the balls and Russ Babe. Here is Elliot running back and forth and arranging the balls by color.
We had a splendid afternoon, and then Thomas arrived home safe and sound on Sunday and whisked the boy off to an Ikea adventure.
In Imogen news, the young miss still only has two teeth, but she currently loves finger painting with food. I'll have to get some pictures of the messy girl for you soon, but here she is looking cute and getting ready for an edible art session.
And I'm sure y'all will want an update on the kittens. So here are Antigone and Ismene in their two favorite sleeping spots. On Elliot's chair at the kitchen table...

After a cool weekend we're back to real summer and 90 degrees forecast for today. Hello, August! And now I'm off to check in on Facebook, to which Tess recently got me addicted. I'm such a teenager. If I neglect my blog from now on, you'll know why and who's to blame!
